THE ARTIST

welcome!

I do my very best to live up to my name. I like to think of myself as a seeker and bringer of Light who sees the world through eyes of wonder, eager to make new discoveries and share with others my stories and experiences through my Art.

I am a first generation Filipino-American gay male, born in Bayonne and raised in Vernon, New Jersey. I am the son of two immigrant parents, and I am proud of my heritage and upbringing. East coast, mabuhay!

I am an actor, singer, musician, educator, and social activist who strives to leave the world a better place than how I came into it. As an actor, I have appeared
on Broadway in Miss Saigon and Les Miserables and on screen in Virtue; have owned and operated a thriving private vocal coaching studio for over a decade now; am a 3-year ensemble member for Visible Ink, which brings to life onstage the writings of cancer patients and survivors at Memorial Sloan Kettering; and also am currently the Broadway Ambassador Coordinator for an Arts education non-profit organization.

Got an idea of how to do some good out in the world and make some beautiful art while we’re at it? Wanna get involved with dismantling systemic racism and fight to make Arts education available for all? Interested in working together to tell an untold story or amplify a voice that has never before been heard in the mainstream? Drop me a line, I’m always up for brainstorming a collab. Let’s make it happen!

Start 2021 off right with a BAM!

In collaboration with Unapologetically Asian and photographed by Mari Uchida, ya boi is Mr. January in the 2021 Broadway Asian Men calendar! Every purchase goes towards helping the Asian American communities who have been hit hard by Covid19, as partial proceeds from this calendar benefit Send Chinatown Love.

CURSED: (NOT) BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

(Virtually) alongside Donald Webber, Bonnie Milligan, Alex Wyse, Asmeret Ghebremichael, and Tom Alan Robbins, I’ve just wrapped filming and recording Cursed, a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, directed by Dana Iannuzzi. Event dates and details to come, stay tuned!

VIRTUE

Filmed entirely remotely in June 2019 during the pandemic, Virtue is the film adaptation of Emily Bohannon's 2014 stage play. When her empowerment guru boss outsources her bookkeeping job to the Philippines, Keira is forced to train her replacement, Efren (played by yours truly!). As she attempts to "get into agreement," Keira must redefine her self worth, recognize her limitations, and discover what she values most in the world.
